Fenix GL07 Reference ManualUpdated 2 hours ago

The Fenix GL07 is a compact quick-release rail-mounted weapon light. This summary is drawn from the manufacturer's official user manual — see the downloadable PDF reference manual on the product page for complete details.

Mounting

Choose the appropriate quick-release (QD) adapter plate according to your equipment's rail. To attach: 1) Open the QD lever. 2) Align the protruding groove of the adapter plate with the recessed groove of the equipment rail, then slide the GL07 onto the rail, moving it back and forth to lock it into the desired position. 3) Flip the QD lever to lock it in place. 4) Adjust the rail clamp bolt to obtain sufficient tightness. The modular quick-release sliding rail lets the light slide back and forth to lock down the best position.

Warning

  • Do NOT place this light in the reach of children!
  • Do NOT shine the light directly into the eyes of anyone!
  • Do NOT place light head near flammable objects — high temperatures can cause objects to overheat and become flammable/ignite!
  • Do NOT use the light in inappropriate ways such as holding the unit in your mouth, doing so could cause serious personal injury or death if the light or internal battery fails!
  • This light will accumulate a significant amount of heat while operating, resulting in a high temperature of the light shell. Pay close attention to avoid burns.
  • Unscrew the light head or take out the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
  • The LED of this light is not replaceable; so the light will need to be replaced when the LED reaches the end of its lifespan.

Single click either switch again to turn off the light or press the dual tail switch simultaneously to recall the previously used output.

Technical Parameters (ANSI/PLATO FL1)

  • White Light (ARB-L16-800UP): Output 700 lumens, Runtime 1 hour*, Distance 240 meters, Intensity 12,000 cd.
  • White Light (CR123A): Output 180 lumens, Runtime 5 h 30 min, Distance 110 meters, Intensity 3,000 cd.
  • Strobe: Output 700 / 180 lumens (ARB-L16-800UP / CR123A).

Impact Resistance: 1 meter  |  Waterproof: IPX7

Note: according to the ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard, the above specifications are from the results produced by Fenix through its laboratory testing using one ARB-L16-800UP rechargeable battery or one CR123A battery under the temperature of 21±3°C and humidity of 50% - 80%. The true performance of this product may vary according to different working environments and the actual battery used. *The White light output is measured in total of runtime including output at reduced levels due to temperature or protection mechanism in the design.

Battery Specifications

  • Fenix ARB-L16-800UP 16340, 3.6V: Recommended.
  • CR123A CR123A, 3.0V: Usable.

*16340 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Using low-quality batteries or mishandling batteries (such as short-circuiting or overheating) could lead to combustion and jeopardize the safety of users and property. Any adverse effects resulting from the use of low-quality batteries are not covered by any Fenix warranty or liability.

Battery Replacement: unscrew the light head and insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, then screw the light head back on.

Intelligent Overheat Protection

The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 55°C/131°F or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 55°C/131°F, the light will gradually recall the preset output level.

Low-Voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the brightness level decreases correspondingly. When the voltage level drops below 3V, the light blinks 3 times every 2 minutes to remind users to recharge or replace the battery in a timely manner. *This feature only works with a Fenix ARB-L16-800UP rechargeable battery.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix recommends using an excellent quality battery.
  • If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the light could be damaged by electrolyte leakage.
  • Clean the lens regularly to prevent powder residue from affecting the light's performance.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Since equipment maintenance requires the use of organic solvents, organic solvents contaminating key internal components of the light may cause malfunctions, and the light will not receive normal warranty service.
  • Periodic cleaning of the light and battery contacts improves the light's performance, as dirty contacts may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently, or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons — A: Poor battery level. Solution: Recharge or replace the battery. B: The contact or contact point of the battery or light is dirty. Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol. If the above methods don't work, please contact the distributor.
