You do not need to purchase a battery charger for either the original PD25 or the newer PD25R. The PD25R includes a rechargeable 16340 battery and can be charged via the flashlight's USB Type-C charging port. The PD25 (discontinued) comes with an ARB-L16-700U battery that actually has a USB port built in the battery so you would take the battery out of the light and plug a micro-USB cable directly into the battery itself. The PD25 does not come with the charging cable but they are commonly used with many rechargeable electronics and with most Android cell phones, so it is very likely that you already have one!
