It depends on which PD35 you have. The Fenix ARB-L18-3400U and ARB-L18-3500U USB-rechargeable 18650 batteries work in the PD35 V2.0 and the PD35 V3.0. They do not work in the original PD35 (V1).

What battery should I use in an original PD35?
Use a standard (non-USB) Fenix button-top 18650, such as the Fenix ARB-L18-3500, and charge it in a Fenix battery charger.
How do I charge a USB battery in a PD35 V2.0?
The PD35 V2.0 has no charging port on the flashlight. That's fine with these batteries, because each one has its own built-in USB port. Take the battery out of the light and charge it with a USB cable, or in a compatible Fenix battery charger.
