Fenix HL55 Troubleshooting StepsUpdated a day ago
Confirm that the battery or batteries are working properly by testing them in another compatible device.
Make sure the battery or batteries are inserted into the light in the correct direction, as indicated inside the battery compartment.
Confirm that there is only one O-ring on the light. The light already has an O-ring installed when it is removed from the box. The additional O-ring included in the box is a spare. If you installed the spare O-ring, please remove it, as having two O-rings will prevent the light from making a full connection with the batteries.
Lubricate the O-ring by applying a small amount of petroleum jelly with the end of a cotton swab.
Confirm that the battery cap is screwed on completely.
If the light only stays on for approximately 30 seconds, you may be holding the button down for too long. To turn on the light, hold the button for only half a second and release it as soon as the light activates.
Holding the button for one full second activates burst mode, which lasts for 30 seconds. When burst mode ends, the light will return to its previous setting, including the off setting.
If the light is still not working after you have completed these troubleshooting steps, please visit our Warranty and Repair page to review the policy and submit a claim.
