Fenix HM50R Troubleshooting StepsUpdated a day ago
If your light will not turn on or charge, remove the plastic insulation disc from inside the flashlight body before using it. Please watch the video for instructions.
Confirm that the battery or batteries are working properly by testing them in another compatible device.
Make sure the battery or batteries are inserted into the light in the correct direction. The positive (+) end should face the head, or LED end, of the flashlight.
Confirm that there is only one O-ring on the light. The light already has an O-ring installed when it is removed from the box. The additional O-ring included in the box is a spare. If you installed the spare O-ring, please remove it, as having two O-rings will prevent the light from making a full connection with the batteries.
Lubricate the O-ring by applying a small amount of petroleum jelly with the end of a cotton swab.
Confirm that the tailpiece is tightened completely onto the body of the flashlight.
Press and hold the power switch for 0.5 seconds. A single press will not turn on the light. You must hold the button down.
If the light only works while plugged in, or if the charging indicator remains solid green while the light is plugged in but the light does not work when unplugged, the battery may need to be replaced.
If the light is still not working after you have completed these troubleshooting steps, please visit our Warranty and Repair page to review the policy and submit a claim.
