Operating Instructions

On/Off: Fully press the tail switch to turn the flashlight on or off.

Mode Switching: With the light switched on, loosen the light head until the light goes off, then tighten the light head again to switch between the main light and the side light.

Output Selection — Main Light: With the light switched on, tap the tail switch to cycle through Moonlight → Low → Med → High.

Output Selection — Side Light: With the light switched on, tap the tail switch to cycle through Low → Med → High.

Intelligent Memory Circuit

The main light memorizes the last selected output. With the light switched off for over 1 hour, turning it on again recalls the previously used output.

Battery Specifications

Fenix ARB-L14 Series, 14500, 3.6V — Recommended.
Ni-MH battery, AA, 1.2V — Usable.
Alkaline battery, AA, 1.5V — Usable.
Non-rechargeable battery (Lithium), AA, 1.5V — Usable.

Warning: 14500 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Only quality batteries reduce the potential for combustion or explosion; damage from short-circuiting or other adverse effects is considered user-induced and is not covered by the Fenix warranty. Note: the main light's High output cannot be operated while using an AA battery.

Battery Replacement

Unscrew the tail cap and insert the battery with the anode (+) side toward the tail switch, then screw the tail cap back on.

Charging

With the light switched off, loosen the light head until you can see the USB Type-C charging port, then plug the USB-A end of the charging cable into an approved USB power source and connect the USB Type-C end to the light.
The indicator displays red while charging and turns green when fully charged.
Once charging is complete, be sure to tighten the light head to maintain dustproof and waterproof performance.

Note: The normal charging time of the included Fenix ARB-L14-800 battery is approximately 2 hours from depleted to fully charged with the light off. The flashlight cannot be operated while charging.

Battery Level Indication

Loosen the light head to reveal the battery indicator. Press the switch — the indicator will flash for 3 seconds to show the remaining battery power.

Green light on: saturated, 100% - 85%
Green light flashes: sufficient, 85% - 50%
Red light on: poor, 50% - 25%
Red light flashes: critical, 25% - 1%

Note: This feature only works with a Fenix ARB-L14 Series battery.

Low-Voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the light will step down to a lower brightness level until Moonlight output is reached. Once Moonlight output is reached, the light blinks three times every 5 minutes to remind you to recharge or replace the battery. Note: this feature only works with a Fenix ARB-L14 Series battery.

Intelligent Overheat Protection

The flashlight will accumulate heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. The light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature to a safe level when this occurs.

Usage and Maintenance

Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
Fenix recommends using an excellent-quality battery.
If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or it could be damaged by electrolyte leakage or battery explosion.
Long-term use can result in O-ring wear; to maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
Periodically clean the battery contacts — dirty contacts may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently, or fail to illuminate. A) Poor battery level: recharge or replace the battery. B) Dirty threads, PCB board, or other contacts: clean with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol. If neither resolves the issue, contact your authorized distributor.

Warning

Keep this flashlight out of the reach of children.
Do NOT shine the flashlight directly into anyone's eyes.
Do NOT place the light head near flammable objects — high temperatures can cause objects to overheat and ignite.
Do NOT use the flashlight in inappropriate ways, such as holding the unit in your mouth; doing so could cause serious personal injury or death if the flashlight or internal batteries fail.
This flashlight will accumulate a significant amount of heat while operating, resulting in a high temperature of the flashlight shell — pay close attention to avoid burns.
Remove the battery to prevent accidental activation when the flashlight is placed in a closed, flammable environment such as a pocket or backpack.
The LED of this flashlight is not replaceable, so the whole flashlight will need to be replaced when the LED reaches the end of its lifespan.
