Operating Instructions

On/Off: The tail switch is the tactical switch and the side switch is the functional switch. Tap the tactical switch to momentarily turn on the light — release it and the light goes out. Fully press the tactical switch to constantly turn on the light; press again to turn off the light.

Output Selection: With the light switched on, single click the functional switch to cycle through Eco → Low → Med → High → Turbo. (Turbo cannot be activated when using AA batteries.)

Flash Mode: With the light switched on, press and hold the functional switch for 0.5 seconds to enter flash mode; single click to cycle through Strobe → SOS. Press and hold the functional switch again for 0.5 seconds to return to the previously used general mode.

Intelligent Memory Circuit

The light memorizes the last selected output, excluding Strobe. When turned on again, the previously used output will be recalled.

Battery Specifications

Fenix ARB-L14-1600U2, 14.4 x 100.5mm, 3.6V — Recommended.

Note: The Fenix ARB-L14-1600U2 can be directly charged with a USB Type-C cable.

Battery Replacement

Unscrew the light tail and insert the battery with the anode side (+) toward the light head, then screw the tail cap back on.

Charging

Switch off the light and loosen the light tail to take out the Fenix ARB-L14-1600U2 battery, then plug the USB-A end of the charging cable into an electrical outlet and connect the USB Type-C end to the battery.
The indicator displays red while charging and turns blue when fully charged.
Once charging is completed, be sure to reinsert the battery with the anode side (+) toward the light head, then screw the tail cap back on.

Intelligent Overheat Protection

The light will accumulate heat when used on relatively high modes for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, it will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C, the user can reselect the modes.

Low-Voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below 3V, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached. When the voltage level is detected lower than 3V in Eco output, the flashlight blinks 3 times every 5 minutes to remind you to recharge or replace the battery in a timely manner. To ensure normal use, the flashlight will not turn off automatically and will work until the battery runs out. Note: this feature only works with the Fenix ARB-L14-1600U2 rechargeable Li-ion battery and other usable Li-ion batteries.

Usage and Maintenance

Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
Fenix recommends using only a high-quality protected battery.
If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery for proper storage.
Unscrew the tail cap or remove the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
Long-term use can result in O-ring wear; to maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the light's performance, since dirty contacts may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently, or fail to illuminate. A) Poor battery level: recharge or replace the battery. B) Dirty battery or flashlight contact points: clean with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol. If neither resolves the issue, please contact your authorized distributor.

Warning

Keep this light out of the reach of children.
Do NOT shine the light directly into anyone's eyes.
Do NOT shine the light at flammable objects at close range, to avoid burning objects or causing danger from high temperature.
Do NOT use the light in inappropriate ways, such as holding it in your mouth; doing so could cause personal injury or life-threatening harm if the light or internal battery fails.
This light will accumulate a lot of heat while working, resulting in a high temperature of the flashlight shell — pay attention to avoid scalding.
Turn off and lock the light, or remove the battery, to prevent accidental activation when the light is placed in a closed, flammable environment such as a pocket or backpack.
The LED of this flashlight is not replaceable, so the whole light should be replaced when the LED reaches the end of its life.
