Operating Instructions

On/Off: Tap the tail switch to momentarily turn on the flashlight — release it and the light goes out. Fully press the tail switch to turn the flashlight on or off.

Mode Switching: With the light switched on, press and hold the side switch for 0.5 seconds to enter Flash Mode; press and hold the side switch for 0.5 seconds again to return to General Mode.

Output Selection — General Mode: With the light switched on, single click the side switch to cycle through Moonlight → Low → Med → High → Turbo.

Output Selection — Flash Mode: With the light switched on, press and hold the side switch for 0.5 seconds to enter Flash Mode, then single click the side switch to cycle through Strobe → SOS.

Intelligent Memory Circuit

The flashlight automatically memorizes the last selected output of General Mode. When turned on again, the previously used output of General Mode will be recalled.

Battery Specifications

Fenix ARB-L18 Series, 18650, 3.6V — Recommended.

Warning: Do not mix batteries of different brands, sizes, capacities, or types — doing so may cause damage to the flashlight or the batteries. 18650/16340 rechargeable Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Only quality batteries with circuit protection reduce the potential for combustion or explosion; damage from short-circuiting these battery types is considered user-induced and is not covered by the Fenix warranty.

Battery Replacement

Unscrew the light body and insert the battery with the anode side (+) toward the light head, then screw the light body back on.

Charging

With the flashlight switched off, open the anti-dust cover to reveal the charging port, then connect the USB Type-C end of the charging cable to the flashlight.
The indicator displays red while charging and turns green when fully charged.
Once charging is completed, be sure to close the anti-dust cover.

Notes: 1) With the flashlight switched off, the normal charging time of the included Fenix ARB-L18-3400 battery is about 3 hours from depleted to fully charged with a 5V/2A charging adaptor. Only Moonlight and Low output can be used while charging. 2) Recharge a stored light every four months to maintain optimum battery performance.

Battery Level Indication

Each time the light is turned on, the battery level indicator in the middle of the switch automatically displays the battery status for 3 seconds.

Green light on: saturated, 100% - 85%
Green light flashes: sufficient, 85% - 50%
Red light on: poor, 50% - 25%
Red light flashes: critical, 25% - 1%

Note: This feature only works with a Fenix ARB-L18 Series rechargeable battery.

Intelligent Overheat Protection

The flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. The light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature to a safe level when this occurs.

Low-Voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below 3.0V, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Moonlight output is reached. When this happens at Moonlight output, the battery level indicator blinks red to remind you to recharge or replace the battery. To ensure normal use, the flashlight will not turn off automatically and will work until the battery runs out. Note: this feature only works with a Fenix ARB-L18 Series rechargeable battery.

Usage and Maintenance

Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
Fenix recommends using an excellent-quality battery.
If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or it could be damaged by electrolyte leakage or battery explosion.
Remove the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
Long-term use can result in O-ring wear; to maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the lamp's performance, since dirty contacts may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently, or fail to illuminate. A) Poor battery level: recharge or replace the battery (ensure it is inserted according to the manufacturer's specifications). B) Dirty threads, PCB board, or other contacts: clean with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol. If neither resolves the issue, contact your authorized distributor.

Warning

Keep this flashlight out of the reach of children.
Do NOT shine the flashlight directly into anyone's eyes.
Do NOT place the light head near flammable objects — high temperatures can cause objects to overheat and ignite.
Do NOT use the flashlight in inappropriate ways, such as holding the unit in your mouth; doing so could cause serious personal injury or death if the flashlight or internal battery fails.
This flashlight will accumulate a significant amount of heat while operating, resulting in a high temperature of the flashlight shell — pay close attention to avoid burns.
Remove the battery to prevent accidental activation when the flashlight is placed in a closed, flammable environment such as a pocket or backpack.
The LED of this flashlight is not replaceable, so the whole flashlight will need to be replaced when the LED reaches the end of its lifespan.
