*Turbo runtime includes reduced-output time from thermal/protection step-down. Specs measured by Fenix using one ARB-L21-2600U battery at 21±3°C / 50–80% humidity; real-world performance varies.

Operating Instructions

Switch: the tail switch is the tactical switch and the side switch is the functional switch.

On/Off: tap the tactical switch to momentarily turn on the light (release and it goes out), or fully press to turn it on constantly (press again to turn off).

Output Selection: with the light on, single-click the functional switch to cycle Turbo → Eco → Low → Med → High.

Strobe: with the light on, press and hold the functional switch for 0.5 seconds to enter Strobe; single-click again to return to the previously used general-mode output.

Intelligent Memory Circuit: the light remembers the last-used output level (excluding Strobe) and recalls it the next time it's turned on.

Battery & Replacement

Uses a Fenix ARB-L18 series 18650 battery (3.6V/3.7V, recommended), and is also compatible with CR123A lithium (usable) and 16340 LiFePO4 (usable). Other 18650 Li-ion batteries should be used with caution; 16340 Li-ion and 18650 LiFePO4 batteries are banned for this light. Don't mix batteries of different brands, sizes, capacities, or types. To replace: unscrew the light tail, insert the battery anode side (+) toward the light head, and screw the tail back on.

Battery Level Indication

Each time the light is turned on, the indicator in the functional side switch shows battery level for 3 seconds.

  • Green, on: saturated, 100–85%
  • Green, flashing: sufficient, 85–50%
  • Red, on: poor, 50–25%
  • Red, flashing: critical, 25–1%

Note: This only works with a Fenix ARB-L18 series 18650 battery.

Protection Features

Intelligent Overheat Protection: at 60°C or above, the light automatically steps down a few lumens to cool down, and allows reselecting modes once temperature drops below 60°C.

Low-Voltage Warning: as the battery depletes, the light automatically downshifts toward Eco; in Eco, the indicator blinks red as a reminder to recharge or replace the battery. Works only with a Fenix ARB-L18 series 18650 battery.

Care & Maintenance

  • Do not disassemble the sealed head — this voids the warranty.
  • Use only a high-quality protected battery.
  • Remove the battery for proper storage if the light won't be used for an extended period.
  • Unscrew the tail cap or remove the battery during storage/transport to prevent accidental activation.
  • Replace the O-ring with an approved spare if it shows wear, to maintain the waterproof seal.
  • Clean battery contacts periodically with a rubbing-alcohol-soaked cotton swab if the light flickers or won't turn on.

What's Included

Fenix PD35 V3.0 flashlight, ARB-L18-2600U Li-ion battery, Micro USB charging cable, holster, lanyard, spare O-ring, user manual, and warranty card.
