Overview

The WF05E is an intrinsically safe flashlight, intended for all areas at risk of explosion, excluding underground mines. It has passed the necessary tests and was certified by IECEx, ATEX and SGS. This product can be safely used in Zone 1 and Zone 2, where explosive gas mixtures belong to Group IIA, IIB or IIC, and it can be used in combustible dust areas Zone 21 and Zone 22 as well, such as in petroleum, chemical and textile industries, fire control, metallurgical areas, electric power stations, and paper production plants.

Operating Instructions

On/Off: With the light switched off, turn the flashlight head clockwise to turn on the light. With the light switched on, turn the flashlight head counterclockwise to turn off the light. Turn another half-turn to avoid accidental activation.

Output Selection: Twist the light head to cycle through Med → Off → High → Off → Low → Off.

The WF05E is powered by two non-rechargeable AAA alkaline batteries; it does not have a rechargeable battery or charging port. For safety, use only the three battery types listed above, and do not mix batteries of different types, brands, or capacities — doing so may cause danger or damage the flashlight.

Battery Replacement

Open the light head and replace the battery, ensuring it is inserted in accordance with the polarity marks, then tighten the light head.

Special Condition of Use

• Do not open the enclosure or replace the batteries when an explosive atmosphere may be present.
• Only the following batteries may be used in the WF05E: Energizer type E92 alkaline, Duracell type MN2400 alkaline, or Panasonic LR03XWA alkaline.

Warnings

• Do not disassemble the light or replace the battery in potentially explosive atmospheres.
• Do not let the light surface come into contact with electrical equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres.
• Do not use the flashlight in explosive atmospheres if it is missing parts or if the shell is obviously broken.
• This flashlight is a high-intensity lighting device capable of causing eye damage. Avoid shining the flashlight directly into anyone's eyes.

Usage and Maintenance

• Use only the three recommended types of batteries.
• If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the light could be damaged by electrolyte leakage.
• Remove the battery in non-explosive environments, or unscrew the light head one-half turn, to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
• Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the O-ring with an approved spare.
