  • This is an intrinsically safe, explosion-proof flashlight rated for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous locations where the surrounding gas mixture belongs to explosion group IIA, IIB, or IIC, and in combustible dust areas Zone 21 and Zone 22.

Operating Instructions

  • On/off: with the light off, press and hold the switch for 0.5 seconds to turn on and enter General mode.
  • With the light off, double click the switch to turn on the light and enter Extreme mode.
  • With the light on, press and hold the switch for 0.5 seconds to turn it off.
  • Output selection (General mode): single click the switch to cycle through Low - Medium - High.
  • Output selection (Extreme mode): single click the switch to select between Eco and SOS.
  • Intelligent memory circuit: the light memorizes the last-selected output level for General and Extreme mode, excluding SOS. When turned on again, the previously used output is recalled. If the light was previously turned off on Eco or SOS output, it will activate on Eco output the next time it's turned on.
  • Battery level check: with the light off, single click the switch to check battery status. The indicator in the switch displays battery status for 3 seconds - green solid: 100%-85%, green flashing: 85%-50%, red solid: 50%-25%, red flashing: 25%-1%.
  • Low-voltage warning: when the battery voltage drops below the preset level, the light automatically downshifts to a lower brightness level until Low output is reached. Once in Low output, the battery indicator blinks red to remind the user to recharge or replace the battery.

Battery Specifications

  • For safety, only use a genuine Fenix ARB-L21-3000Ex rechargeable lithium-ion battery in this light.
  • Do not open the light or replace the battery in an explosive atmosphere.
  • Use only the specific charger provided by the manufacturer, Fenixlight Limited.

Charging

  • Battery replacement: open the light tail with an 8 mm Allen wrench, insert a Fenix ARB-L21-3000Ex battery with the electrode facing the light head, then screw the tail back on.
  • Do not open the light, recharge it, or change the battery in explosive atmospheres.
  • Specific conditions of use for hazardous areas: do not open the light or replace the battery when an explosive atmosphere is present; use only the Fenix ARB-L21-3000Ex rechargeable li-ion battery; do not charge the battery in a hazardous location; use only the specific charger provided by Fenixlight Limited.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can damage the light and will void the warranty.
  • Only use a genuine Fenix ARB-L21-3000Ex battery in this light.
  • If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the light could be damaged by electrolyte leakage.
  • Ambient operating temperature range: -20°C to 45°C.
  • The included battery has no memory effect and can be recharged as soon as it's near depletion without concern for the battery.
  • Long-term use can cause O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the O-ring with an approved spare.
  • Ambient pollution degree: 3. Overvoltage category: II.
