Fenix WT26RM Reference ManualUpdated 19 minutes ago
The Fenix WT26RM is a high-CRI (color retention index), dual-source spot-and-flood work light for maintenance, industrial, automotive, and utility work. Learn more on the product page.
It delivers up to 2500 lumens of spotlight output and 362 meters of beam distance, with a high-CRI (≥90) floodlight that renders true colors on-site, plus a dedicated red light mode. A 360° rotatable magnetic mount with hook allows fully hands-free use. (A low CRI - under 80 - makes colors look washed out, dull, or grayish. A high CRI - 90 or above - makes colors appear vibrant, rich, and realistic.)

*Turbo runtime includes reduced output from thermal step-down. Tested per ANSI/PLATO FL1 with one ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery at 21±3°C/50-80% humidity; real-world performance varies.
Operating Instructions
On: rotate the rotary switch clockwise from Lockout to any mode, or (when unlocked) press and hold the electronic switch for 0.5 seconds.
Off: rotate the rotary switch counterclockwise back to Lockout, or press and hold the electronic switch for 0.5 seconds.
Mode switching: the rotary switch cycles Lockout ↔ Spotlight ↔ Floodlight ↔ Red light.
Output selection: in Spotlight, single-click the electronic switch to cycle Low → Med → High → Turbo; in Floodlight, Low → Med → High; in Red light, single-click to toggle Constant-on / Flash.
An intelligent memory circuit recalls the last output level used in each mode (excluding red light).
Battery, Charging & Level Indication
- Only 21700 Li-ion rechargeable batteries (3.7V) are supported — AAA Ni-MH, alkaline, and non-rechargeable lithium batteries are not compatible.
- Replacement: unscrew the bottom battery cover, insert the battery anode (+) toward the light head, and screw the cover back on.
- Charging: open the anti-dust plug to access the inner USB Type-C port; one indicator flashes green while charging and all five glow steady when complete. About 3.5 hours from depleted to full with a 5V/2A adapter. Works only with Fenix ARB-L21 series batteries.
- Level check: with the light off, single-click the electronic switch — 5 lights = 100-80%, 4 = 80-60%, 3 = 60-40%, 2 = 40-20%, 1 light or red flashing (6Hz) = 20-1%. Works only with Fenix ARB-L21 series batteries.
Protection Features
- Intelligent Overheat Protection: steps down output automatically at 60°C/140°F and restores the preset level once the light cools below that threshold.
- Low-Voltage Warning: downshifts brightness as the battery depletes; once Low output is reached, a battery indicator blinks red to signal it's time to recharge or replace the battery. Works only with Fenix ARB-L21 series batteries.
Usage & Maintenance
- Do not disassemble the sealed head — this damages the light and voids the warranty.
- Fully charge before storage; remove the battery if the light won't be used for an extended period, to avoid damage from electrolyte leakage.
- Lock the light or remove the battery during storage or transport to prevent accidental activation.
- Replace the O-ring if worn, to maintain the waterproof seal.
- Clean battery contacts periodically with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol if the light flickers or won't illuminate; if that doesn't help, contact your authorized distributor.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What kind of LED is used in the WT26RM? Does Fenix offer to replace the LED?
A: It's equipped with one SFT42R LED (50,000-hour lifespan) for spotlight, and one XP-L2 LED with high CRI (≥90) for floodlight. Fenix does not currently offer LED replacement service, and independently replacing the LEDs is not recommended, as it may affect performance or damage the light.
Q: What is the color temperature of the WT26RM?
A: Spotlight is 6500K (cool white); floodlight is 5000K (warm white, high-CRI).
Q: What is the working voltage of the WT26RM?
A: Operating voltage range is 3.0V-4.2V; limiting voltage range is 2.8V-4.2V.
Q: Is the WT26RM rechargeable? How long does it take to charge?
A: Yes. It charges via an inner waterproof USB Type-C port in about 3.5 hours from depleted to full with a 5V/2A adapter.
Q: How do I prevent the WT26RM from turning on accidentally?
A: Rotate the rotary switch to the Lockout position to turn off and lock the light, or loosen the battery cover a few turns to prevent accidental activation.
Q: Why does the WT26RM downshift to a lower mode and stop letting me select a higher one?
A: This is by design and has two causes: Intelligent Overheat Protection steps the light down when it reaches 60°C/140°F and restores the mode once it cools; Low-Voltage Downshift steps the light down as the battery depletes until only the lowest output remains available.
Q: Why does the WT26RM flicker?
A: Flickering, intermittent light, or failure to illuminate is usually caused by a low battery (recharge or replace it) or dirty contact points (clean the battery and flashlight contacts with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol). Contact your authorized distributor if this doesn't resolve it.
Q: What battery should I use in the WT26RM?
A: A Fenix ARB-L21 series battery is recommended; the included ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 is the only battery the charging, battery-level-indicator, and low-voltage-warning features are designed around.
Q: Is the WT26RM still waterproof if the anti-dust cover is left open?
A: Yes — the USB Type-C port has an inner waterproof design. Even so, keep the anti-dust cover securely closed during normal use.
Q: What should I do if the WT26RM needs repair?
A: Fenix offers a 15-day replacement for documented manufacturing defects, 5-year free repair for normal-use issues (2 years for non-detachable light components, 1 year for the rechargeable battery and other accessories), and paid lifetime maintenance after 5 years. Keep your warranty card and contact your authorized distributor for service, or visit fenixlight.com for details.
