Warning

This flashlight will accumulate a significant amount of heat while operating, resulting in a high temperature of the flashlight shell. Pay close attention to avoid burns.
Unscrew the light body half a turn or remove the battery from the flashlight to prevent accidental activation when the flashlight is placed in a closed-in and flammable environment such as pockets and backpacks.
The LED of this flashlight is not replaceable; the whole flashlight will need to be replaced when the LED reaches the end of its lifespan.

Operating Instructions

Switches: the tail switch is the tactical switch, and the side switch is the functional switch.

On/Off: tap the tactical switch to momentarily turn on the flashlight; release it and the light will go out. Fully press the tactical switch to constantly turn on the light; press once again to turn off the light.

Mode Switching: with the light switched on, single click the functional switch to cycle through Turbo → Eco → Low → Med → High.

Strobe: with the light switched on, press and hold the functional switch for 0.5 seconds to enter Strobe; click once again to return to General mode.

Intelligent Memory Circuit: the light memorizes the last selected output, excluding Strobe. When turned on again, the previously used output will be recalled.

Warning: it is strictly prohibited to use an 18650, CR123A, or 16340 battery in this flashlight.

21700 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Only using quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion. Cell damage or short-circuiting caused by using this type of battery is considered user-induced damage and is not covered by any Fenix warranty or liability.

Battery Replacement: unscrew the light body and insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, then screw the light body back on.

Charging

Open the anti-dust cover to reveal the charging port, then connect the USB Type-C end of the charging cable to the flashlight. The indicator will display red while charging, and will turn green when fully charged. Once charging is completed, be sure to close the anti-dust cover. The normal charging time of the included Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 rechargeable battery is approximately 2.5 hours from depletion to fully charged with an 18 W or higher-power fast charging adapter — recharge a stored light every four months to maintain optimum performance of the battery. Only Eco output can be operated while charging. This only works with a Fenix ARB-L21 Series 21700 battery.

Battery Level Indication: each time the light is turned on, the battery level indicator will automatically display the battery status for 3 seconds. Green light on: saturated, 100%-85%. Green light flashes: sufficient, 85%-50%. Red light on: poor, 50%-25%. Red light flashes: critical, 25%-1%. This only works with a Fenix ARB-L21 Series 21700 battery.

Note: the above specifications are the test results produced by Fenix using the Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery at 21±3°C / 50–80% humidity; real-world performance varies. *The Turbo output is measured in total runtime including output at reduced levels due to the built-in temperature protection mechanism.

Intelligent Overheat Protection

The flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C/140°F or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C/140°F, the light will gradually recall the standard output level.

Low-Voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below 3.0V, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached. When this happens in Eco output, the battery level indicator blinks red to remind you to replace or recharge the battery. To ensure normal use, the flashlight will not turn off automatically and will work until the battery level runs out. This only works with a Fenix ARB-L21 Series 21700 rechargeable battery.

Usage and Maintenance

Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
Fenix recommends using an excellent quality battery.
If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the light could be damaged by electrolyte leakage or battery explosion.
Unscrew the light body half a turn or take out the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
Long-term use can result in O-ring wear — to maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the lamp's performance, as dirty contacts may cause flickering, intermittent shining, or failure to illuminate: check for a poor battery level (recharge or replace, ensuring it's inserted correctly) or dirty threads/PCB board contacts (clean with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol).
