These troubleshooting tips apply to the Fenix TK22UE.

Confirm that the battery is working properly by testing it in another compatible device.

Make sure the battery is inserted into the flashlight in the correct direction. The positive (+) end should face the head, or LED end, of the flashlight.

Confirm that there is only one O-ring on the light. The flashlight already has an O-ring installed when it is removed from the box. The additional O-ring included in the box is a spare. If you installed the spare O-ring, please remove it, as having two O-rings will prevent the flashlight from making a full connection with the battery.

Lubricate the O-ring by applying a small amount of petroleum jelly with the end of a cotton swab.

Confirm that the head and tail cap are installed on the correct ends of the flashlight. The tail cap should be installed on the end where the pocket clip connects. When the flashlight is secured in a pocket using the clip, the LED should face downward.

If you are using the ALF-18 battery adapter, make sure the positive (+) end of the 18650 battery faces the positive (+) end of the adapter. The positive (+) end of the adapter should face the head of the flashlight.

Confirm that you are using a USB-C cable, not a micro-USB cable. Try charging the battery with a different USB-C cable and power adapter to confirm that neither accessory is defective.

A red battery indicator means the battery is charging. A blue indicator means the battery is fully charged.
