Yes, the headlamp will accumulate a lot of heat when used in the Turbo mode, especially for extended periods.

The HM60R features overheat protection that will make the headlamp drop its output when it reaches 55 degrees Celsius. Once the headlamp has cooled below 55 degrees, it can be turned up again.
