A standard 5V USB adapter of either rating can be used, because the light only draws the current it needs. However, a 5-watt (1A) adapter may charge some models slowly or not properly: for example, the TK20R V2.0 requires a wall charger rated at least 2A. Check your light's user manual for its charging requirements.
