What's the difference between lumens and candelas?Updated 8 days ago
Lumens measure the total amount of light a flashlight produces, while candela measures how intensely that light is concentrated in the center of the beam, which determines how far it reaches. Two lights with the same lumens can have very different candela, depending on whether the beam is a wide "flood" or a tight "throw." You can find the candela rating for each mode in the "Technical Parameters" section of a Fenix product page.
