Why does the GL22 output drop on its own?Updated 2 years ago

There are two reasons that the GL22 might drop in brightness.

First, the light features intelligent overheat protection. If the light's temperature ever reaches 140° F (60° C) the light will drop from the higher outputs and will not be able to reach them again until the light drops below that temperature level.

Secondly, the light may have a low battery. The low-voltage warning system will keep the flashlight from activating into higher outputs if the battery is too low to support them. If this is the case you will need to recharge your battery before the light will reach the higher outputs again.
