Why does the HM70R downshift to a lower output mode?Updated a year ago
There are two reasons that this may happen.
Intelligent overheat protection:
The lamp will produce a lot of heat, especially in the higher output modes. When the lamp gets to 149° F (65° C), the overheat protection will trigger and cause the headlamp to drop from the higher output settings. Once the flashlight has cooled down below this threshold you will be able to access these higher outputs again.
If the light will not go up to higher outputs your battery may be low. Please try to recharge or replace your battery.
