Why does the side switch on my LD22 not change output levels?Updated 2 years ago
The LD22 has two sets of output settings, known as tactical mode and outdoor mode.
Outdoor Mode is the standard operating setting and allows for 5 output levels plus strobe. The light is powered on and off by use of the tail cap switch and the different outputs are selected using the side switch.
Tactical Mode is the alternative operating setting and allows access to only High, Low, and Strobe. The light is powered on and off by use of the tail cap switch and the different outputs are selected by performing a "half-press" of the tail cap switch. This means to press the switch down enough that the light momentarily turns off but not far enough that you hear a click.
Please note that while the flashlight is in Tactical Mode the side switch will not have any effect.
